The lengthening procedure involves making a small incision just above the base of the penis (within the cover provided by the pubic hair) and releasing the suspensory ligaments, which hold part of the penis inside the body. The ligaments are repositioned, allowing the penis to move forward. The results are instantaneous and add an average of 1.5" in length.
Three separate procedures are available to thicken or enlarge the girth of the penis. The first process uses AlloDerm®, a process whereby the protein framework of donated dermis is grafted to the existing tissues inside the walls of the penis.

The second method is a process known as Dermal Graft Augmentation, a relatively new yet very successful technique. With this procedure, strips of skin with the fat on the under-surface are removed from low-visibility areas of the body, usually from areas where there are natural body creases. These strips are then inserted under the skin of the penis through two small incisions. The grafts are positioned to meet under the skin, surrounding the entire shaft, thus eliminating visible ridges. The procedure adds approximately 30% to 50% in circumference. |

The third enlargement
procedure is referred to as a Fat Transfer. The Fat Transfer
procedure is one that is older and is no longer used for new
patients. As technology has improved, Dr. Barron has concluded that
the Dermal Graft Augmentation provides a vastly superior and
virtually permanent result. In the Fat Transfer a variable amount of
fat was removed from either the lower abdomen or inner thighs,
purified, then placed under the skin around the shaft of the penis.
This technique also added from 30% to 50% in circumference. There is
a significant possibility some or all of the relocated fat will be
re absorbed by the body within the first several months. |

Penile lengthening techniques have been described in the urological literature for at least 40 years. Average erect lengths measured with a ruler placed gently on the pubic skin vary from 5 3/8 to 5 3/4 inches depending upon the city and year the study was performed. Many men with below average measurements may still appear normal and function quite well. For this reason, penile enhancement should be considered an elective procedure.
Dr. Reed has been performing penile enlargement surgery since 1986. The procedure involves as needed release of the suspensory ligament, pubic liposuction or dissection, and taking down of the "turkey neck" deformity (peno-scrotal web). That portion of the penile shaft under the skin is about as long as the pendulous penis and assumes an arched course under the pubic bone. Release of this arch allows the penis to protrude further outwards.
Well motivated patients who follow post-operative instructions have achieved penis length gains up to 2 inches with the average increasing penis length about 1 inch.
Men with prominent suprapubic fat pads will gain extra penis length. For example, if they have a 2 inch thick fat pad and 1 1/2 inch is liposuctionable, their total gain will be 1 1/2 inch plus whatever is gained by resecting the penile suspensory ligament.
Penile girth enhancement can be performed by one of three techniques: A. placement of dermal-fat grafts which are harvested from the lower abdomen or buttocks area (actually upper thigh just below the crease), B. insertion of AlloDerm® Strips, or C. insertion of liposuctioned fat.
Patients who are thin, or who undergo austere dieting programs do not hold on to fat well, and for this reason fat grafts may not be appropriate. If you are at least of normal weight, anticipate a gain of about 3/4 to 1 inch increase in circumference with dermal fat grafts and about 3/4 inch increase with AlloDerm®.

Penis enlargement surgery is a relatively simple, safe operation performed on an outpatient basis. Surgery actually involved two separate procedures. Both are completely natural and do not involve the introduction of implants or other foreign materials. The first, a lengthening procedure, was originally developed more than 20 years ago to treat boys suffering from microphallus, an abnormally small penis. The other proceedure is a fat transplant process adapted and perfected by Cosmetic Surgery International from traditional facial plastic surgery techniques. In the lengthening procedure, the doctor releases the suspensory ligament that connects the penis to the pubic bone, which allows access to the section of the penis hidden behind the skin wall. He is then able to extend the length of the penis in proportion to the length of the organ's internal section. Once the additional erectile tissue is exposed, the ligament is reattached to prevent retraction. A flap of skin from in front of the pubic bone is brought down to cover the newly-exposed section. |
